Nescafe Cappucino

Few days ago (here in the Philippines) we were strucked by typhoon Maring, and we did experienced non stop raining for a week. It was really threatening to see the flood becoming higher and higher. And I'm truly sadden for people who were greatly affected.

Thank you God for everyone is recovering now.

That time, my Nescafe Cappucino, one of the newest released products from Nescafe was with me to cheer me up during that gloomy week.

Honestly, I do admit that I'm not truly a fan of coffee, and I only drink coffee occasionally. But this time on, I wanted to say that I'am now a fan of Nescafe Cappucino. It tastes really good! And good thing, they include some choco sprinkles which is a great compliment for the coffee.

So, if you need something to heat you up, give you some boost or needing to get away with that gloomy feeling, this one's for you!

Yummy, rich, foamy, best experience, delicious. Do I need to say more?

Haircut, what's best for you? pt.1

Are you planning to have a haircut, maybe this week? Or the next month? Well, I hope I could help you with some suggestions.

Try to do something different! Like getting a short hair!

I tried that out a few years ago. I had this long hair and the next day I decided to chopped it off. In your case, if you do love your long hair so much, then you should determine first if it would be best to say goodbye to and get a new haircut. You don't want to regret it and be disappointed after, right?

Here's a picture of me.
This haircut is called Layered Razor Cut

First of all, before I went to salon I had this positive feeling that it would really suit me well, but.. honestly, you be the judge! I honestly didn't studied and reviewed any hairstyle that time nor have any idea about face shape for a specific haircuts, in other words I have no idea what I'm getting to! I simply just wanted to try it!

I do have a big round face, and looking at the picture (above) maybe, the haircut gave an illusion of me having somewhat an oval face.

So, how do you know this is the haircut for you?

picture from wikihow
Determining your face shape

-If you do have a square face, you can show off your (strong) jaw by having this haircut.
-For oval face, fortunately every style suits you. So, I hope you do try this also.
-With triangular face, yours is an exact opposite of heart-shaped faces, this haircut is also good for you. Adding a volume to it, is a great idea.
-Diamond faces has these broaden cheekbones, it will be greatly complimented by this haircut.
-Long, heart, and round face I'm sorry to tell that this isn't for you. You could try other haircuts that will surely compliment your face like wavy long hair, or layered.
-Before sporting this haircut, you should also make sure to have soft and straight hair texture to rock this out.

Kris Jenner

-This look gives you an edger look.
-This is practically perfect for summer.
-Makes you look sexier and mature.

Having this haircut, it actually minimizes your opportunity to style your hair, as you can't really make a pony tail out of it or even tie it up. But!

 Hair wax products, gels,

and hair sprays are your friends for adding volumes and for holding your edger style.

Also, clips on the side can add some girliness to your new look.

Featuring: The Boy Next Door

I do know that we girls love guys who do different things, right? Multi-tasker in other words.

Then without further ado, I want you to meet John Ullyses Martin or much known as Yool Martin.

He is definitely not just an eye candy for us. Currently he is a student, an artist, a cosplayer, a photographer, a dancer, a kpop enthusiast and also a model. Not bad, for a young age. He can do pretty much anything and that inspires us also to do everything we wanted or we love to do.

(Actually, back then I handled a kpop cover group/entertainment and I was lucky enough to be Yool's manager for at least a short time until the group/entertainment was never heard of again.)

For the record, he was once featured in a magazine as a "fashionista"finalist

He's currently a member of a kpop cover group "Black Moon" which they cover the popular kpop group "EXO"

Yool as Kris Wu

Now, let's start by getting to know more about Yool. Here's a little Q & A I had with him.

1. You are an example of a person who do many things like, being a photographer, a cosplayer, a dancer, etc. How do you actually balance your time? Especially that you are a student.

Y: Honestly speaking, I don't manage my time, I don't organize or schedule myself with such activities [that] I am going to pursue, I don't make plans, kapag gusto kong gawin ang isang bagay gagawin ko agad regardless of the time na meron ako.
(Honestly speaking, I don't manage my time, I don't organize or schedule myself with such activities that I'am planning to pursue. I don't make plans. When I wanted do something, I will do it regardless of my time. I really don't have problems in terms of my studies, I do prioritize my school works first but sometimes I do things together with studying just for me not to get bored in school. And now that I'm in college my schedule became heavy-loaded and that's the reason why I stopped cosplaying for a while.
P.S: When my schedules in school loosen up, that will be the time that I'll go back into cosplay world again.)

2. Who are your inspirations?

Y: Number 1 inspiration ko is yung kuya ko, tulad ko multi-tasker din siya and para sakin hindi lang siya Inspiration, kundi model din para sa lahat ng teenagers na may iba't-ibang assets aside from being a student, biruin mo he can manage his time on being a dance crew member sa university nila and at the same time as a Dean's Lister, siya yung tipo ng tao na hindi pabaya sa top priorities niya and one day, gusto ko maging katulad niya, I really do. Sunod, yung mga Kpop Idols ko. Nai-inspire ako sa kanila in terms of their talents and also sa pagma-manage ng oras nila.
(My no. 1 inspiration is my brother, he is also a multi-tasker like me. For me, he is not just an inspiration but a model to all teenagers that have different assets aside from being a student. Imagine, he can manage his time being a dance crew member in their university and at the same time being a dean lister. He is a type of person that never neglect his priorities and some day I wanted to be just like him, I really do. Next one is my Kpop Idols, I was inspired by them in terms of their talents and how they manage their time.)

3. If you are going to pick which one of the things you've already done (ex. photographer, dancer, student, etc.) which one you like doing most and why?

Y: Dancer, why? uhm, sa tingin ko kasi yan nalang yung natitirang puhunan ko sa mga skills na meron ako and I do enjoy it, that's one of the main reason kung bakit andami kong naging kaibigan, specifically sa pag da-dance cover ko sa KPOP Community natin dito sa Pinas. Anlaking bagay yung nai-contribute sakin niyang pagiging dancer. Siguro kung hindi ako naging dancer hindi ko makikilala yung tinuturing ko'ng pamilya ngayon, siguro kung hindi ako naging dancer wala na ata akong ibang maipagmamalaki sa ibang tao. Isa pa, therapy sakin ang pagsasayaw eh, I could freely express my inner-emotions while dancing, nakaka-wala din ng stress.
(Dancer, why? uhm, for me it is the only investments left for me on all of my skills and I do enjoy it. That's one of the main reason why I've made a lot of friends specifically on my dance cover experiences here in our kpop community in the Philippines. Being a dancer, gave me a lot of contributions. Maybe if I wasn't became a dancer I wouldn't knew those people I treated as a family now, maybe if I didn't became a dancer I wouldn't have anything to be proud of to other people. And another thing, dancing is a therapy for me. I could freely express my inner-emotions while dancing. It takes away a lot of stress.
4. What are those things you still want to try?

Y: I would like to try being a full-time blogger, I'm a type of a person kasi na gustong-gusto mag-share ng ideas and experiences on a certain field, siguro gusto ko maging blogger sa mga K-POP news updater sites or sa mga fan-sites, para kahit papano na-eenjoy ko din yung mga nilalagay ko sa articles ko and at the same time gustong-gusto ko yung field, which is KPOP.
(I would like to try being a full-time blogger. I'm a type of a person that really likes sharing ideas and experiences on a certain field. I wanted to write for some Kpop news updater site or fan sites, for me to at least enjoy what I write, at the same liking the field, which is Kpop.)

5. As a fashionista, what describes you the most?

Y: As a fashionista, I describe myself as unique.
(As a fashionista, I describe myself as unique. I really don't like the types that currently on mainstream or trending. I wanted something that will suit my attitude specifically dark-themed get ups. I don't always dress up but when I do, I wanted to be comfortable and to know that it is really my taste.

6. Which brand of clothing/items/bags are your favorites that you can recommend to us? (you can give one or more.)

Y: H&M, Uniqlo, Gap or Thrift Shops

7. Any words of wisdom for the readers?

Y: "Push yourself beyond your limits, challenge yourself!"

And, that's it. I really like how Yool's being positive in life, and being optimistic on things he do. I know that Yool will continue to grow and achieve his goals in life, in no time. Maybe, we could see him on T.V or be heard on the radio someday, who knows?

I would like to thank Yool for the time and willing to be featured here on my blog.

For the readers, I hope you enjoyed reading this and somehow learned something. I also hope Yool has inspired you to be yourself and do what your heart wants you to do.

Featuring: Sk8er Boi (Skater Boy)

Are you into sports right now? Me? I do, I love sports. So far I've only tried golf, volleyball and badminton. But, I'm really looking forward in doing some "extreme" sports in the future.

Today, I love to share you about this; Skate boarding. I've been hearing it since then. It is very well-known in abroad and now it's starting to be popular here in the Philippines. Many personalities are already enjoying having it as one of their hobbies.

Skate boarding is where you use and ride a skate board to perform tricks. It started at around 1940's. Some people were also considering it as an art form, a profession, another form of transportation and a recreational activity.

Tricks consist of:

Ollie off kickers
Pop Shove-it
No Comply
Pressure Flip
Kick flip
Tre flip (360 flip)
360 Pop Shuv It
Laser Flip
Finger flip
Darkside grind

Luckily, I have my friend here Gabriel Valenzuela from Sampaloc, Manila who has been into skate boarding for 7 months now. So I interviewed him for a while to get to know more about the sport.

Y: Gaano ka na katagal sa pag i-skate boarding?
(So, how long have you been into skate boarding?)
G: 7 months na ako nag i-skate. Sa Calamba St. ako naglalaro at Mendiola.
(I've been into it for 7 months. I've been playing in Calamba St. and Mendiola.)

Y: Sino yung inspirasyon mo sa libangan na ito?
(Who is your inspiration for this sport?)
G: Inspirasyon ko ay yung mga pro skater tulad ni Shane O'Neill.
(My inspirations are those pro-skaters like Shane O'Neill.)

Y: San mo nalaman itong sport na ito?
(Where did you learn about this sport?)
G: Nalaman ko ito sa kaibigan ko na si Joey.
(I found this out from my friend, Joey.)

Y: Anu-ano na yung mga tricks na kaya mong gawin?
(What tricks can you already do?)
G: Ang mga tricks ko ay ollie, shuv-it, kickflip, hillflip, varial kick flip, 360 shuv at madame pa. Nag o-obstacle din akosa ledge at tub.
(I can do tricks like ollie, shuvit, kickflip, hillflip, varial kick flip, 360 shuv and many more. I'am also doing obstacles on ledge and pipe.)

Y: Anu yung mga pinaka nagugustuhan mo sa skate boarding?
(What do you like most about skate boarding?)
G: Nagustuhan ko ang skating kasi para sa exercise, libangan at masarap na sport. Challenging sya sakin.
(I like it because it can be a form of exercise, a hobby and truly challenging for me.)

Pictures of him doing what he likes most.

Thank you Gab for your time and being willing to be featured here on my blog.

So there you have it. Skate boarding is really something, we should give it a try!
I just hope it would influence more and will have larger communities supporting it here.

And remember, if you're just starting out never do too much extreme tricks yet, always start with the basics and practice and just practice. All sports have it's own risk, be responsible and careful.

I have these sunglasses that I bought from Q.C Circle's market way, way back.

They're cheap and brand-less but that isn't really a reason not to wear them.
They're chic and fashionable.

See how I rock them out!

I wear them on our trip in Bolinao

My mom looking gorgeous with it!

Thank goodness I have big cheeks maybe without 'em my sunglasses would fall down my face. Haha!

If you think we rocked these sunglasses out, of course you can do too!

Don't be afraid to buy from divisoria or any tiangge market out there, you're just being practical and fashionable at the same time.

I won an AVON's bra!

My very first winning! (Haha!) I was very happy when I received this last 3rd week of July (not sure). Actually, it's been quite a while since I started joining giveaways and contests. So yeah, here it is.

First of all, I'm so inlove with this! Because it's totally PINK and CUTE! It has a soft and smooth texture, really comfortable to wear and thankfully it also give my boobs a shape as I'am 34A.

Avon has a lot of bra's collection to choose from. Just remember to choose a bra that really fits you, (your size) and that will make you comfortable. A good color combination lightens a good mood too.

So, how did I win this?

Well, I've joined their AVON's "35 Free bras daily 2" which is at the first week of July (I think? Btw, the contest is already closed) and this was my entry,

They've asked to submit "your most fashionable outfit" and this was mine!

I wasn't really expecting to win, but thank goodness I did! Thank you so much AVON!

-Avon has a lot of contests to offer, you could check their page/site below;
and their Avon Official Site

Check them often and don't forget to like their page and sign up to join them on their official site.

What really happened?

I'm going to talk about yesterday's kpop event; KFEST 4. Btw, Kfest is one of the most successful kpop events in the Philippines and everyone who's into kpop are really preparing and waiting for it every year.

A couple of days ago my friend invited me to join her on Kfest, I said yes and felt really excited about it. It's been a while since I was able to attend kpop event and I'm really happy to have another bonding moments with her. Yesterday, we met at around 11 a.m, and arrived on S.M Megamall at 12:30 p.m.

We fell in line for the ticket at 1:30 p.m. The line was so long that we weren't really expected it. Just imagine the line starts at the Upper Ground floor and when you reach the 5th floor you still have to wait for a couple of hours because there's still a long line before you can buy tickets.

It seems to me that time that it is really impossible to get a ticket but because of our urge and excitement we're still positive that we can go inside the venue and enjoy the event as we planned to do so. We waited, and we were there until 4:00 p.m, I felt that the line was not moving so I climbed up from 3rd floor to the 5th floor to check what's happening there.

You can view the video below to get the idea of what I'm talking about, this was taken at the 5th floor.

I've managed to go to the ticketing counter and I saw the ladies there were just standing and holding a calculator, no selling of tickets happening. When I asked the guard he told me that they stopped the selling because the venue can no longer accommodate the people coming, I was like "No way!" but looking inside the venue there's really too many people already inside, they were like pushing each other to move and some of them can't get out, looking at it we might be suffocated if we were to go in. So, I was thinking what's the logic that people were still lining up for the ticket? And why didn't someone from the event announced it earlier that they had already cut it? Later on, I heard from someone that the ticket was already sold out around 3 p.m. And I've heard also that it is at the admin's decision if they would allow more to go inside.

At 5 p.m people gathered at the entrance anticipating Xander's arrival and that's where the climax happened. A lot of guards were dispatched to handle the people, around 10 guards were there I think. But fans were really fighting to get inside, some won't listen and were like, "Papasukin nyo kami! (Let us in!)" and some were angry enough to shout that they came not because of Xander but to watch their friends and favorite cover groups. Of course, people who already have tickets were mad as well as they can't go inside the venue. The guards asked the people to move back, people were already crowded at the entrance. I also heard a guard saying, "Pag di pa kayo umatras, gusto niyo bang i-disperse pa namin kayo?".

And then, they've lowered down the (IDK what was that called) to make the entrance half closed. I'm not sure if they planned to isolate the people inside and to prevent people from entering?

But, anyway this is what happened

It is clear people weren't happy. They were angry because they already bought tickets but they can't go inside amd some still wanting to buy tickets. They were asking and pleading to enter the venue. I looked to my left and I was shocked to see that there was someone already collapsed in the middle of commotion, her mother was holding her and very worried, there was no help from anyone. I also witnessed fans were shouting and really being crazy because of some cover groups and individuals that were there. They've also thought someone on a hoodie was Xander and that cause more commotions
In the end me and my friend decided to just get away from the ruckus and go watch a movie instead.

We were disappointed, yes. But thankful in some way. The event left me so much.. memories? Haha! There are no regrets.

And sadly, I've heard that the event was cancelled due to what happened and Xander weren't able to actually see and be there in the event because of safety reasons.

To end everything, I've listed things here that I've observed during the event.

1.) The lines for the tickets wasn't really organized, no one from the event was properly handling it but, thankful enough for the guards being there.
2.) Lining up for the tickets from Upper Ground floor to 5th floor was totally crazy!
3.) Late announcements. This doesn't help anyone.
4.) Some people.event-goers won't listen or follow.
5.) Honestly, 5th floor was like an evacuation site yesterday as there were so many people sitting on the floor, some were having like a picnic, and some just left their things scattered around the place.
6.) Fans were unbelievable, they can't calm their heart out. Shouting, pushing, I've seen them all.
7.) I was shocked why people just can't give up going inside, there was really no way to get in nor they allow you to at that time.

And for everyone who was there, I just wanted to tell you that it was not just the event's or someone's fault that it happened let us keep in mind to be respectful, responsible, disciplined and organized always. Let's just hope if there's really a KFEST 4 part 2 everything would run smoothly and peaceful.
